Carla Makes

This website is called 'Carla Makes' because it’s the simplest way to describe what I do.

When I create work, it always carries a strong aesthetic, whether through set, costume, or visual identity. I’m fascinated by how people connect, and by the journey an audience takes through an experience.

Alongside my ongoing work with The Ministry of Unplanned Occurrences, I’m developing a folk horror clown show.

I also regularly teach improvisation to adults, encouraging them to bring more play into their lives and to recognise their value as storytellers.
